Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how Jesús Medina (YISUSVII), the operator of yisusvii.com, handles personal information when you browse this portfolio and technical blog or contact me. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to yisusvii@outlook.com.
Information processed and why
- Website requests: visiting any page sends technical information to the hosting infrastructure, including your IP address, requested URL, request time, browser or user-agent details, and potentially a referring page. Google Cloud App Engine hosts this site. Hosting services may retain request and security logs to deliver pages, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse.
- Contact emails: the contact form prepares a message in your email application using a mailto link. Form entries are not submitted to or stored by this website. If you send the email, I receive your name, email address, subject, message, and email metadata through my email provider so I can respond. Your email provider also processes the message. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
- Optional usage analytics: only after you accept, Google Analytics processes page views, browser and device information, approximate location derived from IP information, cookie identifiers, and interactions such as project clicks, theme changes, and opening the email contact flow. The form’s name, email address, subject, and message are not included in the site’s analytics events. The explicit page-view event omits URL query strings and fragments.
Cookies, browser storage, and your choices
The site stores display preferences and your analytics choice in your browser’s local storage. Interactive diagrams may also remember display, motion, or viewing preferences locally. These preferences remain until you change them or clear your browser’s site data.
Google Analytics is off by default: its script is not loaded and analytics events are not sent until you select “Accept analytics.” If enabled, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish visits. Advertising storage, advertising personalization, and Google Signals are disabled in the site’s analytics configuration.
Select “Reject analytics” to browse without analytics. You can reopen “Privacy Settings” in the footer at any time to change your choice or withdraw consent. Rejecting after accepting disables analytics, clears accessible Google Analytics cookies for this domain, and reloads the page to remove the loaded script. Withdrawal does not undo processing that already occurred. You can also clear site data or block cookies in your browser.
When your browser sends Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track, this site keeps optional analytics disabled even if you previously accepted it. Basic page delivery and hosting logs still operate. The site remains usable when analytics is rejected or JavaScript is disabled.
No sale or advertising sharing
I do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This site does not use advertising trackers or provide financial incentives in exchange for personal information. Technical information is disclosed to hosting providers as needed to operate the site, and optional analytics information is sent to Google only with your consent.
Service providers process information under their applicable terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the site, its visitors, or legal rights. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Microsoft’s Privacy Statement for information about these providers, including Google services and the Outlook mailbox used for contact.
Retention and security
Contact correspondence is kept only as needed to respond, manage the resulting professional relationship, and meet applicable legal obligations. Hosting logs and analytics records follow the relevant service’s configured retention settings; their duration can differ from browser storage. Contact me to ask about a particular record or request deletion. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no transmission or storage method is completely secure.
California privacy rights
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, applies, California residents may request access to or knowledge of collected personal information, correction, deletion, and portability; opt out of sale or sharing; and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. You have the right to exercise applicable rights without discriminatory treatment. I do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information for profiling.
To submit a request, or arrange a request through an authorized agent, email yisusvii@outlook.com. Include the right you wish to exercise and enough context to locate relevant information. I may need proportionate identity or authorization verification for access, correction, or deletion; please do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel. Requests will be handled within applicable legal deadlines, subject to legal exceptions. Learn more from the California Attorney General’s CCPA guidance.
International visitors
Depending on your location and applicable law, including the GDPR or UK GDPR where applicable, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, or receive a portable copy of personal data; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to your local data protection authority. Visitors in Mexico and other jurisdictions may also exercise applicable local privacy rights by contacting me.
Where a lawful basis is required, necessary site delivery and security rely on legitimate interests in operating and protecting this portfolio; replying to inquiries relies on legitimate interests in professional communication or steps you request before a contract; optional analytics relies on consent; and legally required processing relies on the relevant legal obligation.
Hosting, analytics, and email providers may process information outside your country, including in the United States, where privacy protections may differ. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, those safeguards must apply to the relevant processing. Contact me for details about providers or safeguards relevant to your information. See the European Commission’s information about individual data protection rights.
External links and children
Links to social networks, employers, project sites, and other services take you to independently operated websites with their own privacy policies. This portfolio is intended for a general professional audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact me if you believe a child has provided personal information so I can address it.
